NATE BEASLEY, Location Pastor

Originally from the North suburbs, God grabbed a hold of Nate's heart from a young age and captivated him with a call to serve the church with his life. After marrying Sarah in 2011, he discerned a call to move to Chicago in 2013 to plant Cornerstone while they were both serving on staff with Cru in Champaign/Urbana. Nate's passion is to do all that he can to lift up Jesus so that others can encounter our Savior. In 2016 he and Sarah welcomed their twins Joshua and Eliana into the world! Nate holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Illinois and an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College. For fun Nate loves to juggle. He began a juggling business in 2008 named Catch This! and together with his friend performs at many venues across Chicagoland including Navy Pier and Six Flags.

Originally from Indiana, Zach moved to Chicago from Wheaton, IL where he had been working with Iglesia de la Resurrección, a sister congregation, since graduating from Wheaton College in 2013. In 2017, he married Karen and moved to the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Zach works with the preaching team, the ministry of the church in Bridgeport, and Cornerstone UIC's ministry among commuting students. He desires to see many join a movement of gospel transformation that declares God's kingdom in Chicago. He enjoys a good book, a good board game, and good friends.

Brent has grown to love leading people to worship our great God since leading for his junior high youth group all the way up through college.  He led worship for Cru, a campus ministry at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and for Christ Community Church in Champaign.  Currently, Brent loves living in the Tri-Taylor neighborhood by Cornerstone Chicago, and works in and around Chicago getting his boots dirty on construction sites working as a geotechnical engineer and construction manager.  He loves to spend his free time divvying around Chicago with his wonderful wife, Jessica, as well as curling up with a good book on a cold day.

TAYLOR YANGAS, Administrator

Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Taylor discovered her passion for Jesus and ministry while attending Eastern Illinois University, where she was involved in a campus ministry called Cru. After graduating with a degree in history, she worked for Cru before falling in love with the city of Chicago, its people, and the vision of Cornerstone Chicago to seek the lost and see lives transformed by the gospel. When not working with Cornerstone Chicago or UIC students, you can find Taylor playing video games, singing Broadway show tunes, reading anything she can get her hands on, and salsa dancing.
